Yet Untitled is the artist’s first monograph.
Created in close collaboration with the gallery Nina Mielcarczyk, published by Marian Arnd, and designed by Roger Lehner, this book offers an intimate look into the recent works from the past three years and features a text by Fredi Thiele.

In his first catalogue, it becomes clear how Julius Bobke condenses seemingly opposing elements into a distinct painterly language. Drawing on personal experiences and memories that first take shape in oil, he develops multilayered visual worlds through overprinting, overpainting, kneading, and reworking—where the historical meets the contemporary, and the tragic collides with the comic.

The publication mirrors his working method by weaving together notes on pictorial ideas, post-sparring selfies, materials, and exhibition views. Bobke’s deliberate blending of forms and his sharp wit ensure that both the works and their documentation evolve into a personal and unmistakable visual language.
